Default CVO Sportster.

Had a conversation today, see what you guys think. CVO Sportster. Is there a market...... I don't think there is. Based on what CVO's cost(about 10K above sticker), I don't think people would pay $14-20K for a modded out Sporty.

We also were talking about a Sportster bagger version. Think in the terms of a mini SG.

Opinions, comments?

I don't know, I've been riding Sportsters since the seventies and still do but the reason most buy them are because they like the stripped down minimal bike. I have a set of throwover leather bags and a bag to strap to the back rest and I'm good to go. I'm sure there would be a market for an SG looking Sportster but not an overwhelming market.

This could be as close as you get? Saw this at the CVO tent during Daytona Bike Week.

You would be suprised at how many people would slap on fairing if HD made it for the Sporty...There would be a big market for it.....As for the CVO I don't know.....

Add 100 hp to the XR1200 and I'd be first in line to buy one. I will gladly sell the Busa the day Harley makes a real Sportster capable of living up to it's name.

I don't get the trend towards making Sportsters into baggers, cruisers, or bobbers. And the MoCo killed off Buell??? I still remember when the #1 logo meant something (racing, not t-shirt sales), too bad no one in Harley's management does.

I have a sportster and love it. Mine had the nice HD fourm fit bag on it when I got it and they came off real fast and I sold them. If i wanted a bagger then I would have found a bagger in my price range. As for a CVO sportster I don't see that people would pay Dyna or Softttail price for Sportster, btu thats just me. I know I have alot of money in my bike, but I like to tinker with stuff and stock sucks!

The 90 hp Xr1200 is close. Add the rest of the Buell parts to achieve 103 hp and your there.
