I own a Sportster.
With CVO, I do not think I would be interested in paying a premium for paint chrome, pegs, grips et al.
Yet, if CVO made a true 100 HP Sportster (30 HP boost I'm saying) engine (in a Nightster for example) that could be worth a $2K premium.
Maybe a larger gas tank option because of MPG decrease. Fork caps and shocks with shrader valves for air adjustment would be nice too.

A CVO Sportster?

Maybe if it was all about performance. Shed some weight (100 lbs?), find a way to get 10-15hp more out of a XR1200 engine, give it a firm/adjustable suspension, Brembos, and give it a nice paint job and seat.

i might look at that kind of "CVO"--but keep the fairings, bags, satellite radio, etc. for the baggers.

I don't get the trend towards making Sportsters into baggers, cruisers, or bobbers. And the MoCo killed off Buell??? I still remember when the #1 logo meant something (racing, not t-shirt sales), too bad no one in Harley's management does.
Well, take care of that 'Busa, because I don't see any Harley in that class in the near future. ABuell may have been able to..... But that's over now.

So this dude I went to riders edge with back when had a tendency to bring a 90k plus car to class, a different one ever night. First night lambo, second night SL600, third night mint 65 mustang. He had a family business, and was totally humble and cool (it's nice to see humble money for a change). He walked into the dealer after class and bought an Iron. He was a smaller guy, and the iron fit him perfectly. There was no question he could have bought anything on the floor many times over. He bought an iron. There is a market. maybe it is small, but I am of the mindset that the sportster isn't lesser, just different. it's nimble and I wouldnt want to race one.

I personally think the Iron 883 is badass. If I wasn't 6'3" and 255, I would prob rock one too.

If they gave it more power or a bigger engine and maybe a few other things here and there I think it'd sell. It'd be tricky though because you couldn't send it too far over the top where it'd loose it's nimbleness and simpleness.

Heck if they had one that was 100+ HP and not any heavier and a nice paint job I would be interested as long as it was less than 15k.
