The truck driver has a class B or class A lic in OREGON mandatory jail time for an accident like that I hope the company he works for put cab cams in there trucks that will hang him for sure the whole thing was recorded at that point it would all have been taped & down loaded auto on internet company file.

According to another news article, this particular driver has been cited many times within the last few years.... Some of which were failure to maintain a safe driving speed...

That works for me also. I just hope they don't write the guy a traffic violation and give him a $200.00 fine or something. Noname

No need for video.
The dude admitted to shuffling papers and being distracted.
He feels the guilt. No doubt he will do the penalties.

I'll be awfully surprised if manslaughter would come from a non-drinking accident,.... but surprises happen sometime. Some states get pretty serious when a construction zone is involved.

Have a link to back that up?

Read the article again. The dudes driving record was cleaner than most (that drive every day for a living). ONE speeding ticket a few weeks ago, and a few routine truck related (non moving violations). The stuff they nitpick you at the scales for. One for being overweight and for not having a fire extinguisher.

Where do you get "killer waiting to happen"?

He was a friggin' distracted driver (no different than all the texters and phoners). Guilty, by his own admission. But his driving record didn't look bad at all for a trucker.
