Default Gear shift indicator

I just installed this neat little gizmo that shows me which gear I'm in. Not an overly important thing, but nice to have just the same. It's from this firm called HealTech. Their new devices are designed to plug in at the ECM down load plug. Really easy to install.

I installed a Dakota Digital MCL-2004 speedo on my softail...it has a gear position indicator as well, and I love having it. Saves the mental counting I used to do all the time

Over the years I've gotten to where I always just know what gear the bike is in -- guess I subconsciously do that counting up/down, plus the feel/sound of the bike; don't even think about it.

Do they make an indicator to let you know if the brakes are on?

Yes, Its called a brake light. Next time you apply the brake, turn around and look.

My Buell has a gear indicator...kinda cool when I think to look at it.

You never know, the older I get, the more I forget...

I never worry about what gear I'm in. When I need to shift up, I shift up. When I need to shift down, I shift down.

+1.... and no tach on the FatBoy. I got enough to look around at than looking down on the console to see what gear I'm in or what the RPMs are.
