Never needed a shift indicator. Always knew what gear I was in by how fast I was going & the general feel. (No tach either)

+1.......don't have an ECM to plug this gadget into anyway!

I'm willing to bet each and everyone of you have put something on your bike that is useless but you liked it anyway.
