200 miles a day... You won't be out of Florida until day 4. Miami to Mobile is about 725 miles. Heck you won't even make Tampa until day 2. To each his own.

My FXRG Harley jacket has a kidney belt in it and use on some longer rides. Makes for a better ride, but for most of the time it's just there built into the jacket.

Take it with you. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I did a 3,000 mile ride last summer on a 2007 FLHTCU and although I carried one of those elastic back support belts from Lowes, I never wore it and my back was fine. We did at least 5-hour days on the trip so yours sounds very feasible.

250 is an afternoon ride, on the chopper. Here to Algona is 270+/-. We did that in 5 1/2 hrs WITH a lunch break at DQ.
NO kidney belt ( I do own one, and wear it if going on a 2 or 3 day MC run or TRYING to go over 500 in a day)
BUT, I do NEED a back rest. Usually my sleepeing bag rolled up, tied to sissy bar. THAT makes ALL the difference in the world. I can "lift" my weight up, for cracks, potholes, bridge approachments, etc. Plus saves a lot of 'pull' on the arms.
Have done here to Hills, 750+, in 12 hrs on bagger. But you gotta be pickin' 'em up, and puttin' 'em down.

Psst, THAT critter you're heddin' owt on, itz gotz SHOCKS on it !!!!!

Jus' jivin' ya !!!!

I'm glad to hear about your success at kicking the cancer thing. That is wonderful! THAT is always a blessing to hear.

But .. DUDE! The belt! It's sooo pretty? I can only imagine you with your assless chaps! nice!

Sorry .. couldn't help myself ... Just mess'n with ya!

No no, all is good. I try to wear pants WITH my assless chaps. Cuts down on the chaffing and ball scorching.

If you own this belt and it doesn't take up much room, bring it along just in case. You're probably stressing over your trip more than you need to. It sounds like you've planned a mellow ride. I hope you allowed enough time to complete it at that pace. Ride safe and enjoy.

That belt looks like Porter Waggoner was involved.
