Default Alternative Detachable Sissy Bars to HD

I've been scouring the forum here and through the internet trying to find a good source for a detachable sissy bar to fit my 99 fatboy and not really having much luck other than either finding a used HD sissy bar on Ebay or brand new (~350 bucks) from the Dealer. Anyone have any recommendations on a source? Thanks in advance, Eric

National Cycles makes a detachable for the metrics, not sur eif they do for HD.

Honestly, you can find them used and cheap. I got a detachable for my FXDC with pad for like 120 bucks.

I think Kuryakyn sells some backrest/sideplates. Some innovative stuff like fold down luggage racks and such. Not sure it's much, if any, cheaper than the HD stuff...

Where U getting there $350. I'd think they'd be almost the same as my Heritage,??
I just checked the cost on my HD's, its $128 for the side plates and $37 for the docking system.. $165 - 15% = $140.25 plus tax = $150.06.

All I can say is that I was at the HD dealer in Portland, Or on the weekend and he went through his catalogue and added up all the parts I would need and it came to about $345ish and change, quite a bit more than I wanted to spend to have my g/f riding with me a few short rides a year...I'll check out the other places (Kury/National Cycle) and see what they got.
