Default if you change oil types...

I am changing to redline in prim and tran from a different oil.
would you change again shortly after to avoid having 2 mixed oils or would you think the little bit left won't hurt

I would disassemble the tranny and clean each part, reassemble and then add the new oil.

just to be sure

is there a specific viscosity that you would use? is the primary and transmission going to call for the same weight?

right now i am using syn3 in all three holes, and don't like that neutral is still hard to find, and that the bike makes the really loud "clunk" when i first move from neutral to 1st. i have a buddy who is an amsoil dealer, so i can get a good price on the engine oil. it would be cool if the other two holes could take redline.

try the redline primary case and redline transmission w/ shock proof, you won't go back

There isn't enough left to be concerned about.

Lots of people have done this, nothing to worry about.
