And don't forget to clean the lines to and from the oil cooler along with the oil cooler especially, probably should do this at each oil change.

Why? I've already been through a bad traffic jam where I overheated IMO, idling and chugging along in 1st for about 45 minutes - idle pressure went to 0 and I pulled off, but the bike ran fine. Do you think there is no Amsoil 20/50 in those parades? Think again.
And my oil looked fine, actually clean after that run. (640 miles)

I did that to a 57 Plymouth 9 passenger station wagon and it worked.
I have done it on a late model truck with sticky lifters. I ran it for about 15 minutes though, I was scared of a detonation and an explosion. I saw a big block 396 blow both valve covers clear off one time. Not a pretty sight, but there was no long term damage.

Anyone remember the old technique of SWELLING PISTONS by pouring ice cold water through the carb on a V8? I never believed it, but they did run better because the carbon all turned loose, IMO.

Ride more, worry less.

I use Amsoil 20w50 in all 3 holes, works perfect.
