+1 on this thread is hilarious. I like the pile of sausages. haha.

Ok, so +1 the stock RG windshield sucks. I put on a x-tall clearview. It's awesome. I can crank the tunes while I'm blasting down the highway, they're perfect. I like rockin to the tunes while I'm cruising. I wouldn't trade the RG for anything. For me, it's perfect. If someone thinks it's an ugly duck, they can kiss my a$$. haha...

How much did that x-tall clearview cost? DH is looking for a new shield right now.

Zeus, you missed the whole point. It's not a pile of sausages, it's sausage "links" as in I posted this in 42 other places and here are the -----.

Haha, yeah I got it, sausage links. Killed me. Good one.

Twiggy, I got lucky and got a blemished one off their site. The new one's are listed for $195, but mine was much cheaper than that.

Be careful though, don't get one too tall. Mine is a x-large, 3.75 higher than the stock, I notice now they have a xx-large which is 4.75. At first mine was too tall for me. The top of the winshield was exactly right in my line of vision. Which is bad. Then I bought a big cushy touring seat for my wife's comfort and it raised me up an inch or so too. So now I'm looking nicely over the top edge. It also has a recurve on the top 6 inches or so to make the wind go over your head.

Trouble with the stock RG windshields, they have a steep angle and funnel the wind right into your face. Most harleys have a more vertical windshield and split the wind around you.

But anyway, that's by sales pitch for the day. Here's the sausage for their site...

oh, and ps, I should mention, I can't even see the blemish on the windshield. I don't even know where it is.

oh, crap, another ps. Twiggy, have your husband go to the touring forum, either search there or ask. I didn't pick the clearview randomly, it's the one everyone recommends.

Everyone needs to lighten up on SeniorChief. Maybe he's having a senior moment and forgot how much he really did like the RG.
