Brake fluid on my tank?!

Screw that. I don't care how minor, I would be taking it to the person who caused the problem and let him know he needs to fix it. Even a small bubble would bug me considering I didn't do it and paid a guy for a job and he caused that damage. DOT 4 will remove the paint. Also make sure your copper gasket is new and not leaking from your master.

Go back and show them. If they are any good they will make it right. When My bike was getting preped I watched a mechanic put a hot drill on the tank pad and melt it. I said somthing and he denided it. Lucky for me two other people ( a guy and his wife.) saw it happen too. After a private talk the service manger he made it right and replaced the pad. Without those two helping me it would have been his word against mine. After that I told them don't let that glue head touch my bike.

if theclearcoat is lifted the color paint is soft too, the only way to fix is to strip the paint down to bare metal and repaint.... any touch up will lift again and never look rite..i would take it back to the shop that did it, if they wouldnt even clean up after them self, they probaly arnt gonna warenty any work thou... small claims....
