If you want the bike bad enough you will pay the prep.Out here the prep is $750-$1500.

A local dealer here in Columbus Indiana has a vivid black one on the floor. Its 17900 plus tax....

I agree with Bill, why not just wait awhile to get the bike you want? To me it makes no sense to rush right out and make a compromise on something just in order to have it sooner. Keep in mind the dealers are selling bikes like crazy right now and supplies are limited. My dealer told me that I'd have to wait until Oct. to get the bike I wanted. Eventually the feeding frenzy will come to a slow and as that happens you will have a much better chance of paying the price you can afford/want.

Unfortunatley I sold my bike about two weeks ago and can't wait until late Sept/Oct. As Spartan said "what's a couple hundred more"
