HD Leather Jacket
Never had a HD jacket & I am in the market...looking at a few in the $400 range. All seem pretty well made w good vents. I like the reflective Willie G Skull jacket. It seems these are all made in CHINA like just about all apparel is outsourced. Anyone have any bad experiences w HD leather??

Love mine. Two jackets in one. Lightweight leather(t shirt and sweatshirt underneath in 30 - 50 degree and below weather is money). Front and back panels zip out and leave a mesh jacket with shoulders and arms still in leather for a warmer weather. Check out stpaulharley.com. Some of their jackets are over $100 off msrp. Find one you like, go to a HD dealer and try it on, they are all cut different from what I found. When I was in the market, some larges don't fit like other larges. Then buy it online for 20% off. St Pauls has them in the $300 range if I'm not mistaken. Mine was made in Indonesia and is of great quality.

Have one I got about 12 years ago. Made in the USA and great quality. What I notice when I try out the new ones is that they all seem to be about half the weight of mine.

Your not going to go wrong with Harley leathers. They are made overseas to save money on labor cost, but, also a lot of the chemicals that are used in the dyeing process are banned or considered by the EPA, to be dangerous. Thus increasing production cost to an uncompetitive level. (We are EPAing ourselves right out of manufacturing altogether).

yeah, it shrunk after 5 years.....
personally i have no problem with hd leather, i know a lot of folks will hit you up with the 'buy fox creek' stuff, but you can find that particular jacket for discount at a few places and save a few bucks.
