Situational for me.
30mph and below is almost exclusively rear brake for me(and a little compression braking)
Above 30 is front primarily, rear when slowing below 30
Panic is both. Typical hard on rear, release and reapply slowly.

+1 I use both most of the time but for slow speed manuevers, I use the rear only.

I never use the front at low speeds or tight maneuvering. Did a bit on some of the lighter bikes I've owned but not on this heavy sumbitch. Too easy to come across some loose gravel or sand, or a slick spot, or to just grab too much brake.
