two indy shops in our area almost went belly up but one was a british and h.d. repair shop, he was about to go belly up, than got smart and opened up to jap bikes and hired a few mech and he is swamped, another dealer down the street NASH , built bikes but his nitch is bobber types his sales are down he is also big into apes, but he would never service bikes, now he has opened up a service area and is hitting it hard to pay bills

A bunch have gone by the wayside for various reasons...

Titan (with price tags of $35K-$50K, I can see why)
American Iron Horse
CMC (California Motorcycle Co....they also built the replica Captain America and Billy bikes and had a hand in one of Indians resurections)
Indian..although they're back AGAIN
Ultra
and the list goes on. Plus, Indian Larry's dead and Billy Lanes's in prison.

 

I don't know for sure, so take this for what it's worth, but I heard that part of why Titan closed down was because the owner was killed or is in prison or something.... I heard that like fourth-hand, so don't kill the messenger....

 

Grandeur Cycle is still open. They are doing a lot of maintenance work and add ons.
