I'll bet a lot of the high end customs and choppers are dead as hell right now!
Tryin to sell a $40,000.Custom chopper built for one would be like trying to sell a turd off the lunch room steamtable.!!

Is Sucker Punch Sally's still alive? Their website is up and running and I see the occassional ad in The Horse, but I haven't seen a new model come out from them in almost two years.

Local Shop here in deep trouble don't want to call their name for now but they specialize in Custom Builds that as mentioned before used to wait 6 months or more on .. Now the Showroom is flooded and not a soul even looking .. Wish them all the best but the future isn't looking too bright..

American IronHorse Motorcycle Company
“The Bike That Owns the Road” Is For Sale!

You can now own the trademarks, patents, designs and data
that made American IronHorse a legend in its own time.

Yeah, they're still doing fairly good business, I understand...just slowed down from the glory days...

Well the shop that built the gaudy, ridiculous bike in my sig is out of business also. But I still have fun riding it! Fortunately, the shop that built the other bike in my sig is still managing to slug it out in this economy.

I get a little laugh to myself when I'm looking through the local picture ad weekly or on CL and see an ad for one of those chrome ponies and the ad says "paid $40,000 two years ago". It'll be listed for 15 or 18 large, but they'll be lucky to sell it.

BTW, not a custom bike builder (or are they) but how's that latest Indian reincarnation doing???
