Default Owners Manual Falling Apart

My owners manual is coming apart at the binding and pages are falling out. Anyone else have this problem? If so, has anyone found an effective fix. I hate to just start adding glue to try to keep them in. One idea I had was to see if I can get one of those comb bindings from an office supply store. I've seen someone to that to the service manual and it actually worked great.

It takes some patience, but a 3-ring binder and a bunch of plastic sheet protectors, and you have a weather/grease/oil resistant manual after you get all the pages loaded up into it.

Did this with my service manual. It's much easier to use, now. When I get around to it, I can even tab the pages I need easy enough.

Visit a Kinkos and ask them to bind the book for you.

Have done this with all my service manuals and it works great. Never done it with an owners manual but can't see why it wouldn't work.

You'll love it when you get it back from Kincos and it will be easier to use as the pages will stay open to the place you're looking.

thanks, I think I'll take it to kinkos and see if they can bind it and my service manual too. Actually, I haven't looked in it that much. I think I broke the binding or something from trying to push the pages flat so the dang thing would stay open.

Owners manual? Is that the directions on how to use the bike?

I think mine came with one but in a black bag and I think I opened that bag once.
But seriously, take it to kincos or a similar store and they will fix you up. The 3 ring binder idea is the way to go for a service manual, not sure how many times you need to read the owners manual though?

Staples did a comb binding on my service manual - works like a charm, lays flat. Don't open my owners manual much but they could do a comb or spiral binding on it as well. Cheap.

The pages were designed to fall out. You're supposed to use them for TP while on the road. Didn't you read page 185? Binding, or otherwise modifying a stock Owner's Manual will void your warranty. Way to go.
