Bike Parking in Manhattan?
#11
I used to commute to NYC every day on my Sporty. I don't mind NYC riding - you just gotta get in the head. It's kinda like Death Race! lol
A lot of NYC side streets have free parking no meters - helps if you are a local but if you look around you can find them. You can park on most of the lower east side & lower west side without paying a dime. Same for the upper east side. Midtown is impossible. If I HAVE to go to midtown (which is rare), I park downtown and hit the train!

New rider here, so i wont even dare going into the city (where i work) even though its basically a straight ride down the West Side HWY until the very end at Battery Park.
That WSH can be viscious, even in a car haha!
Anyhow, i too was wondering about street parking. I THINK battery parking garage takes bikes, since its park-yourself. But its $30 a pop!
I see right outside of the garaga people have their scooters (literally scooters) parked on street, theres like 3-5 scooters, maybe 2 harleys or ricers.
Wondering if thats open for me to park there? Or is there another spot nearby for street parking?
damn manhattan sucks lol
