Default Helmet Question

Hey...I notice alot, maybe most riders with helmets that are real low on their head and then some will have hats on backwards underneath or doo rags. How the heck do you do that? I can't do that with my helmet without it being very uncomfortable or not fitting at all. My helmet is a HD Trespasser and its an XL. Do guys take the lining and or padding out? I think I look stupid with my helmet. It sits a little high up off my head. Any suggestions?

You shouldn't be able to wear a cap on backwards with a DOT helmet that fits correctly. I can do it with my novelty half helmet cause it's not intended as a safety device. Hence the novelty.

Boy I really want to answer this but, I see it is your first post and I don't want to make you feel bad as I have only posted a few times myself. Ahh, what the heck. Here goes. Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

You'll have to send us a picture. You might look stupid without a helmet.

Dude..........everybody looks stupid with a helmet, especially me. But if I go down and hit my head or face, I'll look even more stupid. Don't screw with the lining or padding for Goodness sake.......that's the whole idea......protect your "hard drive"!
Forget about how you look.......wear a DOT or Snell rated helmet. Better yet, buy a full-face and go incognito..........I do....and like it!
