Repainting my tins. Should I apply my shiny new HD decals on the bare paint and then clear coat over everything, or wait and put them on after the clear?

 

I'd personally wait since I cant ever decide on something. At least you will be able to change your mind later on.

 

if you do it after the clear, you should wait at min a few days , best a week for the topcote to fully harden or you may find you end up with bubbles in a couple days

 

If i used decals when i painted mine.........I would have definitely put them under the clear

 

You gotta put em under the clear.

 

 

Mine came from the factory with the decals under the clear.

 

They will last a lot longer yep

 

You definitely want them UNDER the clear. You can wait till it's partially cured, and then shoot the clear, but bear in mind paint doesn't really fully cure for up to a year. You'll be fine putting them under the clear. That's why the MoCo puts the clear on LAST.
