I carry a pretty comprehensive kit on both bikes, and thankfully have never needed either one. It's true, not a lot goes wrong with the modern bikes. I have used them on a few bikes I've pulled over to help, and to help a friend change a headlight in a hotel parking lot.

Just remember the rule about well equiped toolbags.
If you show them to anyone, they automatically think your bike is junk and needs tools.

Tire pressure guage, leatherman, allen wrench multi, small adjustable wrench, tire plug kit, Co2 gas tire inflator, cell phone (turned OFF during ride!) Might wanna look into a couple torx drivers, good idea.

Here is one I havent seen yet...In my newly created bag, I carry 4 common sizes of
1/4,5/16,3/8 bolts, nuts and washers. Just a couple of each. Along with a small asst of wire connectors and a small length of wire.

I found a Harley road kit on Fleabay for $30 - it's pretty comprehensive, with allens, Torx except for the biggest ones, plug sockets, ratcheting screwdriver and bits, vise grips, tape, and some other stuff. The plug gauge is way off; toss it and get one from Advance auto. I wrap some duct tape around the plier handles, add more zip ties and a 10mm combo wrench for the battery. A medium sized crescent goes in the saddlebags along with weather gear.

Don''t even got one on or in the bike.

only had trouble one time and it was in front of a repair shop,, so I though why carry anything if its in front of a wrench's place anyway.

Yep, we did this not too long ago didn't we schu! If that's the same one I remember, the OP should be able to see that I carry enough in my tool bag to field strip my bike in under 14 hours...

I've been a mechanic of one type or another most of my life...
A trick I learned early in life, if you have the tools handy to do almost anything, you almost never have to use them.

My wife seriously hates to tell me when something goes wrong with her car. I go get my toolbox, put it in the back and take her car for a ride. Car works flawlessly, EVERY TIME! "I can't find anything wrong with it dear..."

Maybe it's the big package I carry with me that intimidates her vehicles...
