thanks for the input, cadman and othersheep, thats pretty well what i carry, aint needed them yet, the ole dyna just keeps chuggin along. flhxo8, after i posted i thought it could have been worded differently, like, what do you gentlemen usually carry in the leather pouch secured to your forks, but, guess that could be taken alot of ways too.

I ride a Shovel, so my bag is fairly complete. I have it broken down into two bags. One very small one with the bare necessities, multitip screwdriver, small cresent wrench, some zip ties, blue loctite, pliers, neelde nose and a hex set that fits my seat bolt. Under the seat I have a more extensive bag with sockets, torx set, wrenches, spark plugs, bit of wire, etc. My year bike has a notorious weak point in the clutch. So I also carry a throw out bearing set and a clutch cable coiled under the seat.
We do very long road trip on the old girl, so I am sure I have what I need when I set out.

When I was riding older bikes, I carried a lot of tools...today, not a lot goes wrong...
I keep a standard & phillips screwdriver, small adjustable wrench and some tie straps...last time I used anything was a couple of years ago when the kick stand spring on a buddy's American Ironhorse broke...I zip tied the kick stand to the frame so he could get home to make a repair...sometimes, it's the little things...
