Dude. It's $10. And just in case you weren't aware of what you're $10 goes towards, here is an excerpt from the Mountainfest 2010 website:

MountainFest Motorcycle Rally, LLC is a non-profit organization that with the help of our generous sponsors and faithful attendees has been able to contribute over $300,000 to various non-profit organizations in our short four year history. The planning committee was ecstatic this year when making the largest single contribution to-date of $80,000 to Mylan Park, a 320 acre non-profit recreational and educational complex dedicated toward improving the quality of life of residents and visitors in North Central West Virginia. Some of the facilities located at Mylan Park include…
  • West Virginia Miracle Field Sports Complex – a completely rubberized sport service for baseball players with disabilities, the 3rd of its kind in the country
  • Baseball & Softball Complex used by four area high schools
  • Stepping Stones – a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities achieve their maximum level of independence
  • PACE TEC - a community rehabilitation program that assists persons with disabilities to become employable in the private sector
  • Girl Scouts – an office providing support and service to 29 counties in West Virginia, Maryland and Ohio
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Central West Virginia – office committed to providing children with positive caring adult mentors
  • Alternative Learning Center - serves the needs of at-risk high school age students
On behalf of MountainFest Motorcycle Rally, LLC thank you to each and every sponsor and attendee that has helped make it possible for us to support this great organization so they can continue to provide these necessary services to our community.

I have been two times. I have family and friends there. The best part of Mountainfest for me is the ride there thru the mountains. Not a lot going on. We hit one bar down by the Cheat river that was cool.

Hell yeah that bar down by the cheat was probably the Brew Pub. Mountainfest is alright. I live about one hour outside of Mo-Town in Pa. It's a nice ride down, the venue is not as big as others such as Thunder in the Valley, but its still nice to get out to and attend. I would not ride a couple hundred of miles just to attend, but in the grand scheme of things its a nice outing. Plus there is like five different things going on that entire weekend related to Mountainfest, not just at the fairground.

Remember the axiom that it is the journey, not the destination?
WV has some of the very best riding in the USA.
So stop at the Mountainfest on the way through. You've got to get off once in a while.

dh2683, ohio also here never been but buddy went last year and liked it. Thinking about going this year but it will be more of a trip than just going to mountian fest. Probably go down and do some riding in WV during that time and just stop in for the day or something.

The big thing is that there is alot of good riding down there and buddy liked it because he said that things are spread out and you get to do some nice riding around the area to get to each of the things going on and the area is nice to ride in.

We also hit a bar called "Archies" the place was packed with bikes. Had a great time there.
I don't remember what town it was in but not too far from my familys place in Star City.
When I came home I took the long way thru Pa. Great ride.

What kind of lodging are you looking for? campground? budget hotel? high end hotel? bike parking? Give us an idea of what you're looking for and I'll give you a few recommendations.

Tons of great riding around Morgantown. If you've never been down before you should come check it out.
Just a clean hotel, nothing high end

Thanks

I'll throw ya a couple options and why I would stay there..

1. Super 8 Motel - 603 Venture Drive. This hotel is located in a large shopping center (Glenmark Center) across the 4-lane from Triple-S HD, dealership sponsor of Mountainfest. There's a few chain restaurants nearby (Wendy's, Outback, Ruby Tuesday, few others), couple of gas stations, grocery store.

There will be a handful of stuff going on at the dealership and you're located right off of I-68.

Stay tuned... i'll come up with a couple more.

I didn't go up for Moutainfest, but I did go up for the hog rally a few years ago to see the Outlaws. Stayed in a hotel in Star City. Buzzed all around Mogantown and around Marvin's moutaintop, went to Triple S harley. It was beautiful weather and very scenic riding. Had a gret time!
