So to bring this full circle...

Got some screwing around with the insurance company, but that is a different thread.

Ended up trading my wrecked FLHTC, the insurance check, and some $$$ for a 2010 Ultra in Vivid Black with security and ABS. Brought it home last night. As it sits, it is pure stock but that will change in short order.

On a side note, one of the riders at work was killed on his way in yesterday.

Please all - do be safe out there. I know I'm riding different that I was a few weeks ago.

Thanks for sharing your lessons learned. Glad you're OK. Hope you can get the bike fixed fairly quickly.

I agree with you. We sure don't see that very often. It seems like it's always the other persons fault.

Those painted center lines are extremely slick when wet.

Glad to hear you are ok. I think that everyone that rides needs to be reminded every now and then to keep your head in it (the ride). Thanks for the reminder.

God does protect those in his will. I was T-boned in my car about 6 years ago, passenger side. My car was totaled, I was knocked unconscious, came to 30 feet off the road facing the opposite direction. Paramedics were dumbfounded that I had only a couple small cuts on top of my head. Passenger door was caved in past the driver seat. I have other dangerous hobbies besides riding, never fear, and always trust in God's protection.

Sorry to hear about your ride and your injuries , but it seems you got the ride part sorted out quick and you'll be all one color again soon I suspect lol . Good to hear it wasn't more serious , especially after you tell us what happened to one of the other riders on his way in that day . Ride safe brother !
