Thanks. This is why I like this forum. All kinds of advice and pointers. I hadn't even been checking outside of my immediate area.

Buy the Rubber Mounted '06! No doubt about it.

As a former '05 Sportster owner, I can honestly say you'll have lots of fun on that bike. The rubber mounts make a big difference. It's not just me saying that... I recall finding a bunch of "reviews" and articles online that looked at the "new" rubber mounted sportsters when they first arrived on the scene. Can't recall a single critic saying negative things about them when compared to the older models.

GREAT STARTER! SERVICED AND READY TO BUST SOME BUGS!

Stock #: U7234
Body Style: Motorcycle
Color: BLUE/SILVER
Mileage: 3,161
Fuel Type: Gasoline
$6K for that? WTFO!

Kelly Blue Book Retail value for that bike is only $4905. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail...-custom/237968

Anyone willing to pay $6K for that is an idiot.

As far as a 2002 883 Sportster, the $4K price tag is a bit more reasonable. The KBB values for those range from $3875 for the Hugger model to $4155 for the Custom model.
