First Harley

Thanks for your service dude! Had same issue in first 500 mi. Jack shaft seal leaking, they fixed it and forgot to fill the primary back up with fluid. Got home and noticed this right away, they came out next morning with trailer to take back for inspection. According to them no damage had been done, i say great work by the STEALER once again. Luckily no problems since, and that was 2004. Imagine, sending you home with no oil, so make sure to check all your fluids before leaving the STEALERSHIP!

Hello All, Just a quick update. The service department told me that the wields on my oil tank were not sealed properly. So I am waiting on a new oil tank to get there from Harley. Hopefully this will fix the problem and I will be able to put some miles on the bike besides taking to and from the Dealer. Thanks all.
Ride safe.

Hey New Harley Rider .....
I had the same thing happen with my 09 FatBoy ... it was the oil bag ... dealer fixed it the first time. It sucks not being able to ride your new scoot ... but don't sweat it ... you'll be back out there soon.
and ... we need some pics of you new ride ....

For future reference. Purchased a used bike with no warranty and had a continuous drip coming from the transmission plug. No big deal but bugged me to no end. Found a machinist and he managed to re tap the hole and thread the plug back in. Haven't had a leak yet in 3 years. There's always a solution.
Welcome back. Enjoy the Fatboy.
