Picked up a DOT HCI helmet today at the LB swap. It's not too bad. It sits ALOT lower than others I have tried. Pretty happy with it for being a DOT helmet. Their german one did not sit well at all!

ACC helmets are top notch like everyone else has said....One thing though, go to helmetshop.com and you will save a few dollars on the ACC helmets and they have great customer service!! I just got mine in this past week. Ordered an all black they were out, but gave me the Candy helmet for the same price!!

Ok, so here are some pics of my HCI DOT lid. Pretty small. At least the smallest I've found that fits well:

And, for a frame of reference, here's my buddy's non-DOT helmet:

You don't want to see the HCI german helmet on, trust me! It's nothing pretty to look at. I had tried one of those on at the swap as well and it looked like sh*t! That's what I wanted and I ended up getting a polo style on instead.

I just sent an email to ACC/Head trip last night about buying a helmet but can't check my email until this evening - anyone else had a delay from them on the DOT versions? Hope I can get their helmet soon, don't have one and hope to buy my bike in the next 2-3 weeks
