It's been 9 years since I lived in WI, but I don't think the laws have changed.
I'm quite certain you'll get your *** in a sling if you did that.
I think every part of the firearm has to be in a case for transporting. But if you strapped a fully encased firearm to your belt, you should be within the laws as I understand them.

This is incorrect. Indiana has a "License To Carry Handgun", not a CCW. It does not differentiate between concealed and open carry. I don't think I would open carry but it is perfectly legal in the State of Indiana.

What those idiots do is then hold candlelight vigils for the victims and get the media to hype how the bad guns kiled the innocent and nobody should own guns. They will never see anything but the fact that they really believe guns are responsible. 100% total fairytale.

Glad I live where I do.
Alaska law - Any person 21 years of age or older may carry a handgun concealed on their person provided that, when contacted by a police officer, informs the officer of that possession and allows the police officer to secure the handgun for the duration of that contact.
A permit to carry a concealed handgun is available for those individuals who desire a means to carry a concealed handgun in states that honor Alaska’s permit to carry.

Kind of funny all of these laws covering guns...seems to me the 2nd Amendment explains it clearly - and trumps all State and Federal laws. Jus sayin'
