Most stolen Harley?

RE: Most stolen Harley?
Most likely to be stolen motorcycles from Progressive Insurance:
1) Suzuki GSX-R Series
2) Yamaha YZF Series
3) Honda CBR Series
4) Suzuki Hayabusa
5) Kawasaki Ninja Series
I thought for sure there would have been at least a few Harleys in the top 5, but I was wrong.
A bit more info...
The Chevrolet Corvette was named the number one stolen collector vehicle in a recent study conducted by the Hagerty Protection Network (HPN) between July 1999 and December 2002. The report issued by Hagerty Insurance, the nation's largest insurer of collectible cars and motorcycles, indicates that vintage Chevrolets are the most stolen brand commanding close to 40 percent of collector cars stolen in the last three years.
1.) Chevrolet Corvette (1966-1982) 13.3 percent
2.) Ford Mustang (1964-1969) 6.5 percent
3.) Chevrolet Impala (1958-1967) 5.6 percent
4.) Chevrolet Camaro (1968, 1969) 4.7 percent
5.) Harley Davidson motorcycles (1941-1974) 4.4 percent
6.) Chevrolet Nova (1963-1972) 3.6 percent
7.) Chevrolet Chevelle (1966-1973) 2.7 percent
8.) Chevrolet Monte Carlo (1970-1978) 2.4 percent
9.) Cadillac DeVille (1955-1965) 2.1 percent, Chevrolet Pickups (1950-1971) 2.1 percent, Mercedes 450 (1975-1979) 2.1 percent
10.) Ford Thunderbird (1955-1963) 1.7 percent, Lincoln Continental (1964-1977) 1.7 percent
Did a basic search and found that Harleys are not at the top of the thieves list, although it sure seems wrong since I know more than a few people whos bikes have been ripped off. I am truly suprised.

RE: Most stolen Harley?
Rice rockets are easier to steal. A van and a few bodies and you can pick it up and put it into a van. Plus the squids are alway crashing them so there is a steady demand for parts.
Now if you were out there with your buds looking to boost a bike would you rather wrestle a 350# sport bike into a van or 700# harley.

Well it's obvious why the Harley isn't on the list. Pretty mush everyone in the world knows how we feel about our scoots and will, at any expense, hunt down the culprit, tie his a$$ to the back of said stolen scoot, and drag him across the state line and back. That's all I got to say about that.

After seeing the post by Grumpy Ed, I was wondering what the most stolen Harleys were. Anyone have any Ideas?

Oh now I never noticed that oil before, i was wondering why the temp dip stick got up to 400 degrees yesterday.
No its not from the bike, its from someones car who parks there, we have open parking at my appartment complex so all the spaces are like that, but the Fatboy live in her own garage 10X20 all safe and snug. But it was funny.

RE: Most stolen Harley?
Interesting timing on this thread, as they were just talking about the surge of stolen bikes in Arizona in the news today. Even they mentioned that Harley's weren't the most likely bikes to be stolen though. Which is fine by me....I think they quickest way to make a grown man cry is to steal his Harley!

I don't think they are stealing them to ride. I believe they are just pushing them in the river. Poor fish. It's probably the only way to get rid of one.
