FatBoy Solid Wheels

FatBoy Solid Wheels
I have a 2004 FatBoy that I am putting new wheels on. I'm not so sure what to do with the wheels I am taking off. The wheels are the solid wheels that come standard on the FatBoy. They are not chromed or anything special, just the stock wheels that come with this model. My questions are the following:
1) Do you think that somebody will want these wheels?
2) How much do you think I could get for them?
3) Is E-Bay the way to go to get rid of them?
4) Leave them with the local delearship?
5) Any other suggestions
Thanks

Never just give them to the dealership. There is always a market for stock rims no matter what they are. Dunno a good price, but either a local swap or eBay would be good places to put 'em up for adoption.

do not give the wheels to the dealer unless they are going to give you a trade value. The Pie Pans are about Butt Ugly. Keep them and either pass them to the next owner or put back on bike before you sell.

As you can see from my Deluxe, there are people that love the standard Fat boy wheel. I got mine on Ebay and paid 120.00. The dealer switched the spoke wheels for the fat boys for me leaving the spokes with him. So the whole switch and wheels only cost me 120.00. I feel like I got a good deal and made a friend of the service manager to boot. Good luck with the change.

1- Yes, someone will want the wheels. Takeoff wheels are a popular swap item, I put a solid FB rear wheel on my S'glide this winter.
2- I bought a set of FB's on E-bay for $162.50 shipped to my door, the front one still had a usable tire on the rim. Sold the front and the tire for $125.00, net cost on the rear wheel was about $40.00.
3- E-bay is the way to go, widest audience reached.
4- Don't EVER leave anything with the dealer. Even if you have to bring it home and throw it away, don't give them anything free, you're just throwing money away.
5- If you don't like the look of the smooth aluminum wheels, consider having them chromed. It's a whole lot cheaper than buying the HD chromed FB solids and they can be done very reasonably, and they look good too.

Do not "give" the wheels to the dealer. H-D makes enough money without folks giving parts back to them.
There are certain parts I won't sell from my Boy, the wheels would be one of those parts.
Case in point...
