Help with a 1930 HD
just wondering if any of you guys had any contacts for people that work/restore vintage Harleys. My grandfather used to refurb old Harleys and Indians.....he passed away over 10 years ago and left his only remaining Harley to my brother...since it has been in a few storage sheds and garages then ended up in my fathers back yard! Its making me sick for it to waste away. My brother is doing NOTHING to save it..it just gets worse and worse. I'm 1,000 miles from its location but am thinking of arranging a rescue mission. Am looking to see what it would take to restore it. THANKS....here's some pics..

Based on those pics, it wouldn't be a terribly difficult restoration for someone who does that sort of thing. Looks to be in amazingly good condition. Can I have it?

YES. I feel your pain...my grandfather is for sure rolling in his grave about it....he left it to my brother who couldn't give a crap what happens to it! I would love to see it come to life again....

Already looks like rust setting in, UV damage, some paint faded, rubber starting to decay.
I am no authority but would guess engine needs to be pulled, cleaned, possibly new gaskets, crankcase & primary flushed, fuel lines replaced, fuel tank flushed, new fuel filter, battery, electrical, etc., etc.
Hopefully your brother will give it up without causing problems. There should be a HPS for cases like this (Harley Protective Service!).
