if ya do manage to rescue it don't mess with the paint, especially if it's original. It's worth more the way it is than completely restored to alot of collectors nowadays. Go get it!!!!

That thing still looks pretty damn good for its age. Please restore that thing it's what your would of wanted.

Makes me want to puke knowing he won't at least put it in the garage or a shed,been a dream of mine for a while to get an old vl.Hopefully your bro does'nt know what it's worth and you can get it for a good deal,looks pretty complete should'nt take much to get her goin.Your grandfather should have gave it to you.

I see a guy from Beaumont, Tx all the time offering complete rebuilt Knuckleheads and Panheads motors with titles on Ebay. Try looking for Knuckles and Pans on Ebay and get his address there. He will be able to tell you where to get those parts needed to rebuild your motor. And whatever you do, try your best to leave the paint just as it is. It will raise the valve of it more than you know. The bike being that old will be titled on the motor. So your can't replace the motor, you will have to rebuild to be able to keep your title for it.

And I will remove it for the both of you for $5G's this weekend.

Surely there must be a law against leaving something like that outside? Do him a favor and get that damn bike in the name of all that is human!

Shoot me a PM. I can get you in touch with a guy in the South Chicago land area that is does phenomenal engine work and he can point you in the right direction for restoration of the rest of the bike.
