I have a polar fleece kinda mask. It is really a ski mask but just around nose/mouth/neck. It is also rainproof. A little warm on sunny days but I don't wear it then. I would wear a regular weight type if one were offered to me.

I use an UnderArmour that can convert to many different things from full on to just neck or head. This time of year I'm in a fullface helmet as well but I should be switching to Half here shortly I may pick up something that is semirigid that I can tuck my face into when needed.

Black fleece neck gaiter here. I bought a cheap neoprene mask at a rally, could not stand it. It was uncomfortable, hard to adjust with a helmet on and fogged up at stop lights.

The neoprene masks work well but I found that the velcro on mine would always release and the mask would come loose if I turned my head to far to look over my shoulder. I actually lost mine on the highway, when it came loose it blew right off my face and was gone. I never replaced it so now I wear a bandana in the summer and for cold weather riding I wear a balaclava and use a 3/4 helmet with face shield.

I use a U.S. Army surplus neck gaiter. Available at your local army surplus store for a few bucks. basic olive drab green.
Pull it up over your face to stay warm...covers the neck as well...No need for any over priced nonsense marketed to bikers.
I really don't want to go down the road with a skull or clown face.
