I bought a Shumacher battery charger/maintainer with float mode monitering....6/12 Volts..........Did not work to keep my battey up. Little light was green, too.
Now I have a Battery Tender Jr on it and all is ok........the Shumacher did have all the right cables/leads, but no work.

I'm a big fan of the Battery Tender Jr. I've got 3 going in my garage right now. One on the bike, another on the lawn tractor/snowblower and the last on my son's truck to keep it charged while he is based overseas.

No cutting, splicing, or making it work. A real good warranty, mine have lasted 8+ years. You could get the smaller "jr" charger or the most popular 1.25 amp charger. These chargers charge the battery then goes into a Monitor mode, float, until the battery drops down to a predetermined voltage and the charger charges again, all automatically. Can't go wrong with this setup, google Deltran and check it out.
Hey big guy, took your advice. DONE! took it in, and got the right thing. Thanks

Batteries Plus sells the cable you need. I put a cable each of my vehicles....hot rod, ski boat, harley. I just plug th power unit into whichever one I am not using.

I have had a Battery Tender since 1988. Bought it at an old car swap meet. Still works fine.
