Is a 100 miles enough for a days ride?

For me, yes, 100 miles .... on a horse .... would be enough, but not on my bike. There are those days (most of them) when I just don't have the time to put in 100 miles and ANY miles is better than nothing.

My sig line says it all.
A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent upon arriving.
Lao Tzu, a philosopher in ancient China and the author of Tao Te Ching, one of the primary texts of Taoism, the basic form of Chinese religion, wrote this somewhere around the 4th century BC.
It worked then and it's always worked for me.

Depends on the rider. On my bike I have to stop for gas 100-125 miles. 100 miles around town takes me about 2-3 hours it makes for a good Saturday morning ride for me.

Any time on your ride is better than no time. It's beautiful here today and I only got to run to Ace Hardware and back for plumbing parts. Probably a 10-mile trip, but priceless.
