Is a 100 miles enough for a days ride?

Well we seemed to get distracted at our lunch destination yesterday after a 11am start and it seems we wasted some valuable riding time. So I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on only getting a 100 miles in yesterday.

Yeah, 100 miles a day won't get you anywhere, but for puttin around that's pretty good. Some days I get in 12 miles ( to work and back ) and feel pretty good about it.

Any ride is a good ride in my opinion...Ride when you want..how far or how long you want. Dont worry about filling a mile quota. Id be happy for a 5 minute ride right now. Havent rode since before Thanksgiving.. Been a long, rough winter.

It depends on what your preference is . Some riders like to go as far as they can in a day and don't like stopping a great deal. Others like to take their time and socialize more. If you were disappointed in the ride then next time you could organize it and call the shots.

What should be a long enough ride?
Long enough for the generator to put back what the starter took. Then throw in enough time to get the engine up to normal operating temperature.
There are people that ride to get an iron butt award. There are those that ride ten miles to pose at their favorite roadside restaurant. Pose for a couple of hours. Then ride ten more miles to get home.
One should ride only to make themselves happy.
