J & M's shorties will work just fine with your stock radio without any adjustments.
Ride safe & good luck.

No adjustment on mine. Haven't used the CB other than just seeing if it worked.

Extremely light loss of radio reception. Had one station that I could just barely get with stock, no dice with the shorty. There is a small difference but worth it IMHO.

I have the J&M shortys (a vendor whom I highly recommend for great service) and experienced no loss of radio reception - AM, FM, WX. Don't use the CB so can't comment on that.

I have J&M shorties also. I can't see any difference from stock on the FM/AM side, and WB comes in fine. the CB seems to be lacking a little on range, but the match was not far off perfect. I recommend them.

No ajustments needed. The shorty does not have quite the range as the longer units but unless you're listening to a weak signal it is not really a problem.

I live in a small town. The closest radio station is 50 miles away and has a weak signal even in my car. There's real bad reception on the '09 ultra Classic. Fortunately, I'll have an XM module installed within a couple of weeks.

I have the HD shorties and they work great. I do not use CB so could not provide info on this. However, the radio shorty works well.

I have the shorties and groups I have rode with that run CB's say it sounds good and I haven't noticed any negative effects of them.
