They will deal now. I just bought my '06 Bob this week and I got it for $1k off list with no dealer prep or freight charges added either. And then I got them to throw in a free t-shirt each for me and my wife.

I always buy off season because I'm cheap and like a good deal. But I'm getting up there in years now and have some patience. 15 years ago and I couldn't have waited.

Don't ever fall for that phony b.s. about "this deal is only available today". What if you don't buy the bike tomorrow and it sits for another month? Do you think the dealer won't give you the same if not a better deal later on? If not, there are PLENTY of other dealers who will. Remember, a motorcycle dealer is no different than a car dealer or anyone else who stocks expensive items. Most of them are financed and for every month they sit unsold, there is more interest to be paid. Most dealers have their stock floorplanned and it is in their best interest to move the old stuff out. There seems to be a great interest in the '07 model lineup, which in my thinking would mean less interest in the 06 leftovers. Good deals are there to be had, be patient or buy a new model.

Don't be pushed into a "today only" type of deal. $750.00 off of a $10,000.00 HD is no big discount, especially when the '07's are a changed bike and not that much more expensive than the '06 models.

I pretty much agree with the rest of them Captain CAPSLOCK - If you want the bike now - buy it. The deals they give you are never what they appear. $750 off just means they're bumping your intrest rate up by .9%.

Good luck on the bike choice!

Don't finance through HD. They quoted me 7.99% and I went through my local Credit Union and got the loan at 6.15%. Saved $11 per month pocketing $660 over the life of the loan.

Harley doesn't give discounts, only dealers do.
