Default What to get after Afghanistan deployment?

Im looking for some ideas of what to get for my bike after I come home from Afghanistan. I got an 2006 night train, this is what Im thinking. I can do some work myself but some stuff like engine and transmission need to take toa shop. Im planning to save about between $1,000 to $2,000 depending on what I decide to get.

black ape hangers
black spoke wheels front and back
engine upgrade
transmission upgrade
seat upgrade

any sugestion will help alot, specially if you guys can tell me where I can find the best deals.

I would do anything that can make it faster! When are you coming home? I have 20 days and I am out of here.

Comfort items first, then speed. Going fast and feeling bad is not as much fuun as going slower and riding the hell out it.

Just my two cents.

Stay safe and on target!

I would think the first thing one would want to get after returning from Afghanistan would be clean underwear!

Comfort first. I have been over here about 6 months now and been just buying little things here and there for when I get home next month. At this point I have accumulated a custom paint set, hard saddle bags off a touring bike, true duals, 18" front wheel, 130 front tire, lowered rear shocks, and some other little things. I wanted a street glide, but couldnt bring myself to sell the softail, so I am just making my own street glide. The only thing left I need is a fairing, which will be Marches purchase.

Best of luck and get home safe.

Thanks for your service.

Black spokes on a nightrain would look cool I think. Not sure about the ape hangers on that bike.
