Artlee,
I've been know to sip on a beer or 6 while the roll away tool box is opened.

Usually makes for a great day.

Oh yeah, thanks for the tip on a less expensive place to purchase.

There is also an "Electrical Diagnostics book" It will walk you thru any electrical problem and help you find the real problem instead of guessing and replacing good parts.

Helped me find a Cruise Control issue a couple years back...ended up costing me 1.00 to repair..

The parts book is a very good addition if you plan on keeping a bike or to service it yourself.
It will detail every part..much easier to identify part location when service book is vague.
The parts book could save you money and time.
money- because you can order parts online at 20% off if you have part number.
time- do not have to go back and forth to HD store to have them order the same part for you for a higher price and then go back again to pick it up.

The service manual and parts manual go great together.

The Parts Catalog is the ulimate addition to the Service Manual for those of us that really need someone to draw us a picture now and then to understand how things go together after we did not pay attention to now we took them apart.

Besides the exploded views of most things you can look up the part numbers yourself.
Also gives bolt sizes and lengths, building a bike from the ground up this is a very important manual.

Personally, I think all you need is the service manual. Most of the places you get parts from will be able to take care of knowing the parts numbers. Save the $48 for some chrome or some Royal Purple for an oil change.

I also buy parts from eBay and have used the parts manual there quite a bit.
