one dealer tells me hydraulic chain tens. chain driven cam the other tells me gear dr.cam feedback please

Depends how much you want to spend I guess. I just had my Ultra done with the hydraulics and my buddy did the gears in his. You'll get 100 different answers on this one. I'm happy with the hydraulics so far. Matter of preference.

Check crankshaft runout before making this decision. Over .003 you should not be running gear drive anyway. Many come from the factory with over that much runout.

Last year I went with the hydraulic chain tensioner kit from HD.

This is the 1st thing to check, then U'll be able to decide better....

I would go hydraulic just because I put very little miles on in a season and it is the less expensive option

I just put the hydraulic kit on mine this last fall. Only reason I did it instead of the gears was $$. If you're going to keep the bike for quite a while, go with the gears. A little more noise, but the very best way to insure reliability.
