RE: who carries gravel?.....
At the moment I'm currently out of grenades and so I'll leave the gravel idea alone.
Its a whole lot smarter to move over.

I don't know if the following is true or not, but I heard about a guy with a sign on the back of his bike, "I can stop faster than you. Bike = $20,000!" I also heard he don't get many tailgaters.

Remember, the only requirement to get a cage license is $28 and the ability to stand still long enough to get you picture taken. Every idiot is allowed to drive and I assume the King of Idiots is the one tailgating me.
I initially tap my brake lights 3 quick times to let them know they are too close. If they are too stupid to understand that, I pull over and let them pass. Weight-wise, the laws of physics are not on our side. If they hit us, they will walk away unharmed while we may not make it out alive.

I have noticed that every body will stay away from you if you have a 44 mag lever action rifle straped to your back. Other calibers will work. [8D]

Does any one carry a little gravel for tailgaters?
I find that tossing a few pebbles up over my head with my thumb (like shooting marbles) gets them to back off.

700lbs vs 3000lbs. And your chunking pebbles at that.
Ya got a throttle and ya got brakes. Use them, you will live longer.

Had what looked like a rent-a-cop in a crappy van. Who would not let us pass him. Every time the 'ol lady and I tried to get around him.
He would swerve over in front of us. This went on for a couple of miles. We were on my '66 E-glide Bob-job and finally got around him.
It was one heck of a weird experience! I guess the jerk did not like bikers. This happened back in the mid '70s and times were different back then.
