Pretty much thing's have to go back the same way they come out .watch your spacer's or shims or whatever .just be careful.i know nothing about v rod wheels . Spacer's in backward is not a good thing.

3 hours... For a front wheel? Take it off: 1 nut (axle) and 5 screws (brake rotor). Pull the tire and mount it on the new wheel. Put rotor back on and put the wheel back into the fork. 3 hours? Are you shitting me?

man i pulled my rear wheel replace the bearings, greased, checked over the drum brake, reinstalled, adjusted the chain and the brake rod, polished the swing arm in 1hour and 15 minutes
3 hours for a simple rubber swap per axle is RETARDED, fidn a differnt dealer/shop to do it. hell if you where close enough i would say brign it and a case of beer to me with it and i'll do it for you.

They saw you as a female who probably does not know how long it would take to do that task and could charge extra labor. Agree with others = 1 hour/wheel or 2 hours total.
You could have a your husband/male friend call and ask about the same situation at the same place and see what answers you get...if different, go and talk to the owner.

should be about a 3 hour total job. Gotta change and lube bearings, mount, balance, maybe have to remove saddle bags. Did my 05 Deluxe in about 2.5 hours using a pitbull lift and no air tools. Check you local indies.

I have a v-rod muscle and would like to trade the wheels out for a set that has been chromed. The dealership says that if they do it, it will take about three hours per wheel.
I found a place that does a direct exchange. Buy the chrome set from them, have them replaced and then return the unchromed wheels to them.
Does three hours labor per wheel make sense? I may have described it wrong to them over the phone, but it seems like a lot of labor.
Thanks
Lisa
