RE: motorcycle lift
I bought the Sears/Craftsman motorcycle lift model 34612(red).It was on sale for seventy something.
The lift works great but could a little lower. When I slide it under the Road Glide, the end of the lift hits the frame rail near the jiffy stand. At this point I have to lift up the handle to tilt the lift so it will slide under the rail. The other option is to hold the bike upright to get the lift under the rails. The cross member under the frame rails doesn't interfere with the lift.
The bike is very stable when on the lift. The only time I would use the straps is for tire removal.
There are other companys that sell the same lift such as Harbor Freight Tools. These lifts are made in China by the same company.

Good point 100th RK. The only draw back to me is you can't roll the wheels for detailing!!
