any recommendations on a good seat w/passenger seat for long trips on an 07 RK? or have any luck with gel tops or beads? im all ears!

 

gel works fairly well. What I use now is sheep skin. It keeps you from sweating & your not in pain after 4 or 5 hours in the saddle! you can take it off if you want the leather look for around town etc!

 

If you're willing to pony up the bucks for another seat, I like my Mustang Regal. It has lots of cushion and the passanger seat is wide enough that the wife is comfy on long rides. It will set you up about 1 inch higher than the stock seat though.

 

What kind of seat do you have now? I like the Corbin seats, but what you'll wind up with here is a lot of people liking different seats.

 

When I rode a bicycle, I know, silly me.. the dude at the bicycle shop said that for me to be comfortable on the bicycle I was going to need as much of me to touch as much seat possible.. I assume the same is true on a motorcycle.. I like the original seat on my Heritage.. Butt, I have a set of rider beads on my seat to keep my butt dry.. the beads lets the air circulate and no sweaty butt.. Rode over 6000 miles last year on a trip out west and at no time did I sweat..

VERY happy with my HD Sundowner. Big improvement over stock seat.

 

I vote for Corbin with an Alaskan Butt Pad.

 

Also have the Mustang on my '03 Road King. Several hours in the saddle and ready for more. Personaly, I love it. Anything is better then stock!

 

Mustang here also. I have the touring seat and my wife is very comfortable. My bro in law started me on the Mustang. After I bought mine, my dad took a ride on my bike and then bought him one also. Here are 3 votes for Mustang.
