Although Black does absorb more heat than white or light colors, All that insulation inside should keep the inside about the same temp. Let them sit in the sun and grab them bare handed to put them back on though, and you might want the silver one.

Thanks, I think I will go with the solid black then. I'm looking at the new Shoei RF1100 and they aren't in our local stores yet. I have a XP-II now and I love it. It is time to replace it though.
