Another stupid question but....
OK, at a stoplight, turning left.
Signal never changes. I'm thinkin' that the weight of the bike isn't enough to trip the light but it could be something else.
People have said "rev the engine" or "put it on the sidestand". Tried both with little success.
Any tricks?

RE: Another stupid question but....
It's not a matter of weight, it's a matter of interference. The bike doesn't have enough metal/mass to interfere with the electromagnetic(?) field that trips the light. At least, it's something like that. I do know it has nothing to do with the weight. They sell powerful magnets to put on the bike to help with this.

RE: Another stupid question but....
I have this problem at the same light on my way to work, just make sure nothing is coming and go through it, COPs know about this and as long as you give the light reasonable time to change, they will treat it as a defective light. Or so my local police have told me.
And as above, it has nothing to do with weight. If a car is coming up behind you move up if you safely can and hope he trips it.
I've seen the light trippers for bikes, do they work? does anyone have one?

If you ride along the sensor in the pavement and stop at the forward edge it will tirgger the light, at least at the one up from my house. Give it a try it might work on a large bike even better than my sporty.

I got 2 lite's in my neighborhood that never trip when I am the first one there. I just run them after awhile they sell something that you can stick under your bike that is suposed to help trip it! I don't know how well it works.

If you can stop over the sensors in the road, they are metal lines you can see,if after two light changes and it does not change, you can go if the way is clear,
