I don't know about protects but I know it makes a hella nice shine and cleans. Nice tire shine as well. Also leaves a delightful lemon scent lol. I pretty much use if on everything I own except myself.

LMAO thats right... 1584CCs of lemony freshness. anyways so will it help with worn clear coat from say a seat rubbing the fender?

A good wax will help but new clear coat is really the only fix to missing clear coat. The pledge is a great in between serious cleaning cleaner. Before a ride I do a quick run over and polish with pledge.

hmm well i guess im gonna have to pull out the rubbing compond for the clear coat.

Corvette engineers when asked the same question as what was best to polish chrome advised the group at a seminar that you can not polish chrome. It is already as polished as it can get. You can clean it with mild soap.

There is a meter that measures reflectivity and there is nothing to improve beyond clean chrome.

I use dupont crom polish,,
Also have found all cleaning waxing products from the dealer is top of the line

really? the stuff harley sells that says "harley" on it is top of the line?

S100 is great stuff. for everything.ever have to wash the bike using S100
