Im new to having a harley so my bike is as stock as it comes.. one thing I know I'm wanting to mod is my pipes. without taking a bunch of bikes with different pipes and asking riders to do a fly-by so that i can hear which ones I like best I wont know which ones to get by the sound so i have to go with what they look like from pictures, or take advise from the few people I know that ride. Ive heard good things about Vance & Hines and I like the look of thier side shots. Ive got a buddy who raves about bubb jugg huggers too. what do ya know? what do ya say?

Pipes are like art... very subjective. For me, half the decision was sound and half the decision was looks. I knew I wanted to be happy with both. I ended up with Bub 7 slip-ons and couldn't be happier. Decide on the ones you like on appearance, then find someone or a dealer that may have them on a bike so that you can hear them in person.

 

I've got BUBS and the sound and performance is ok but the quality of their chrome sucks HUGE ***! would NEVER get BUBS again...and their customer service doesn't give a **** either, and they should have, seeing as the chrome finish went to **** not 6 months after purchase.

 

I don't care much about looks or sound; I want performance so I went with 2 into 1 Fat Cats by D&D. Folks I ride with complain that they can't hear their own pipes when they ride behind me. Hee-hee.

 

I recommend Samson Long shots they have nice throaty sound!
