Craftsman Pro Jack......Damn Uncomfortable Feeling...
#11
I did strap in with 2 tie downs, just never felt good.
Yeah, the table lift is what I am considering......
NO WAY I would wrench on it the way I was feeling, heck I didn't feel comfortable spinning the back wheel while it was up there.
Like I said, I'm sure it's a fine jack for a dirt bike or something with less weight than my pig, LoL.....
Nothing lost except a trip back to Sears.

HF, Sears, they are all made by larin. I bought a used Larin off of CL this fall. I have to run my FXDF on 2Xs for it to clear w/ the cradle that has adjustable arms and screw points. I am able to avoid the blade or gusset that Dynsa have on the rt side a bit behind the tranny. It works but mine is strapped on and the jiffy stand is bungied into a deployed position. I only have $40 into it so I'll keep it for lawn tractors etc.
I'll have a Pitbull or J&S next winter. I have made my living with tools and I never was affluent enough to be able to buy cheap tools.

Had mine for 3 years, no prob, first time up I thought it would fall off, but after I got working on the bike and it didn't go anywhere, thought, must be ok. Table lifts are great, but do you not still have to unload the chassis to do any wheel work? Wouldn't you run into the same problem? Maybe I've got the wrong idea of a table lift.

Tie it down.
It wobbles "a bit".
You just gotta position it right.
U bolts and bar stock.
No.
No.

In reality ???? You NEED a decent jack.
J&S as posted numerous times.
Built BY AMERICAN BIKERS (Not Chinese, Mexican, Pakistani)
FOR AMERICAN BIKERS.
Best Customer Service, PERIOD.
Best Equipment, Period.
I've been wrenching since the 60's. I've had a couple of different lifts, and a few jacks.
There are 2 J&S jacks in the grudge, FOR A REASON. Bought one new and one used.
You can put a 10 ft long chopper on it, pull the front end, sit on the scoot, do what you want.
Grab the scoot(on the jack) and roll it where you want or need, NO tie downs.
Have 'company' over, and NOT worry about them walking about in the grudge, touching things.
IF you have not watched their video, NOW would be a good time, IMFUO.

YES, they are THAT stable !!!
Think about this, for just a second. IF you brought your bagger over here to have the tire changed, would you WANT me to put it on YOUR jack ????
Make sense, now ???? That's how I look at it, TOO.
IF you can't do this with yours, well, shoulda "akst", first.
There is NOTHING holding the scoot down, except gravity.

I had a sears jack and another similarly made one.... bought a J&S because I didn't trust them. The jacks went out on both. One went while lowering the bike after it was locked in the raised position for about 20 minutes. YMMV but I wouldn't put a 20k bike on them.
